Trends in Maharashtra and Delhi indicate that the two cities may be slowly turning the corner with a decline in Covid cases, rural areas and smaller states are still vulnerable to the second Covid wave. A new recommendation by the Centre now advocates a longer gap between two doses of the Covishield vaccine from 12-16 weeks.
