'Delhi could face power crisis': Kejriwal seeks PM's personal intervention

Oct 09, 2021 18:13 IST | By Editorji News Desk

Sounding a warning that the national capital may face a power crisis, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought his personal intervention in the matter.

The chief minister mentioned in his letter that Delhi was facing a coal shortage for the third month in a row which is affecting power generation.

Kejriwal has suggested that coal and gas be diverted from other power generating plants to those supplying power to Delhi.

He wrote that while he was personally monitoring the situation, he has requested the PM's intervention to ensure the crisis is resolved at the earliest.
