Virat Kohli: Loyalty matters more to me, will stay at RCB till I play

Oct 12, 2021 14:38 IST | By Editorji News Desk

It was a heartbreaking last game for Virat Kohli as the RCB skipper. However, the dismal show does not mean that the batter would quit his team. In his post-match interview, Virat Kohli who has been a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore since its inception said that loyalty matters to him more than worldly pleasures and went on to assure the RCB fans that he would stay at the franchise until he quits IPL.

The 32-year-old who led the franchise for close to a decade further said that he has tried to create a culture at RCB and in the Indian team where youngsters could come in and play with freedom.

Senior batter AB de Villiers also apologised to the fans after the heartbreaking loss and promised that the team will return next season in the quest for their maiden championship.

Interestingly, many senior players from the RCB camp including Aussie cricketer Dan Christian have asked the fans to stop abusing the cricketers and their families after they faced a lot of flak online post the loss.
